About Me

I am a mom first. Technology executive in a past life. Software contractor when the money gets tight. I am an artist when I have twenty minutes and a back of a napkin in an airport, or a beautiful afternoon with a back yard and a paint brush.  I solve problems like an engineer and investigate new ideas as scientist. I want the world to be a comfortable place for my family and everything I do is centered around it.

I don't really need too much out of life: a full time housekeeper, a pool and a house full of happy self-confident voices. We've got the latter - though I have to admit, I wish they came with a volume control. No pool currently, but may be we'll buy one of those above-ground hot tubs. I work from home, so I can afford the luxury of a sparkling house once or twice a week. In the end, I am pretty happy.

Over the years, I have discovered the joy of raising children, of creating these perfect individuals, of teaching them to face the world and make conscious focused choices, of watching them attain the confident walk of a man who can feel the firm ground beneath his feet.  My blog is about the unique and interesting things I have discovered: ideas that did not come straight from books or publications, nor common sense we all acquire as parents; a parenting theory I have developed and have put into practice. Every day, I feel my sense of achievement grow as I master these concepts and watch them bear fruit.
